Newbury Racecourse transformed into a vibrant scene as more than 120 tractors demonstrated against the UK government’s planned changes to farm inheritance tax (IHT).
Organised by the Berkshire Farming Club, this rally united farmers from across the region in a dramatic show of solidarity. The event aimed to protect local farmers from the financial implications of the new 20% inheritance tax scheduled to take effect in April 2026.

The rally, titled “Bring Your Tractor to the Races”, commenced early in the morning as farmers lined their tractors across the centre of the racecourse.
