Interim Secretary – William Burvill

William Burvill currently serves as Interim Branch Secretary and has become a key figure dedicated to advancing the interests of our branch. His extensive experience in the Care Sector gives him a deep understanding of the local government framework—vital for effective leadership.
William has worked closely with children aged 3 to 18 with special educational needs at Abbey Court School, a local SEN school. This hands-on experience gives him clear insight into the challenges families face navigating care and SEN assessments in Medway.

William Burvill is standing to make real change. He will prioritise genuine investment in our infrastructure, schools, healthcare, and support services to reverse years of neglect.
He pledges to demand excellence—not just adequacy—from our council, standing up for vulnerable people and working families alike. His vision is of a safer, cleaner, and fairer Medway where every voice is heard and every opportunity is real.

Deep Roots in the Community

A proud family man, William has lived in Strood and Medway his entire life. Over the years, he has witnessed the gradual decline in local services. He believes enough is enough—Medway deserves better.

For too long, Rochester and Strood have been overlooked. Roads have deteriorated, schools and care services stretched thin, and hardworking families—those who pay their taxes and strive to improve their lives—have been neglected. William is determined to fight for the quality services this community deserves.
