David Finch and John Vye represent the growing momentum of Reform UK, a party committed to reducing wasteful spending, supporting small businesses, securing borders, and ensuring public services are efficient and accountable. John added,

David, an IT developer with an impressive 30-year career in technology, is known for his exceptional problem-solving abilities and dedication to finding practical solutions. Born & raised in Kent, David moved to Rochester almost four years ago and has since committed himself to improving the town he now calls home.
David has long been interested in politics, but it is now, seeing the challenges facing Rochester East and Warren Wood, that he feels compelled to act. As a keen gardener and active community member, David understands the importance of nurturing not only our gardens but also our communities. His key campaign priorities include addressing the dire state of the roads in the ward and tackling the overdevelopment that has outpaced local services.

“Our communities deserve better than what they’ve been given for decades by the same tired political parties,” David said. “Rising costs, stretched public services, and local issues being ignored are all evidence of a system that has failed the people it is meant to serve. A vote for Reform UK is a vote to break away from the status quo and put power back into the hands of ordinary citizens.”

David believes that hard-working people deserve representatives who will fight for better infrastructure, lower taxes, and fairer resource distribution.

“Too many politicians promise the world during elections but fail to deliver once in office. Our pledge to you is simple: Both John and I will work tirelessly to tackle issues like housing, public safety, and local business development, and we will always listen to the concerns of the people we represent.”


John is a dedicated Parish Councillor who has long desired to serve the wider community. With experience on a Planning Committee and in Land Management, John brings valuable expertise to tackling the issues of overdevelopment and ensuring sustainable growth in Rochester East and Warren Wood.
John is also a hands-on individual, enjoying hobbies such as tending his allotment and working on the renovation of an 1880s property in his spare time. His practical skills and understanding of land use position him as a strong advocate for protecting and enhancing the local environment.

“I have always been passionate about serving the community as a whole,” John said. “Being on the Planning Committee has given me firsthand insight into the challenges we face with development in our area. I believe we need to focus on ensuring our services and infrastructure can keep up with the needs of our growing population.”

John is committed to representing the voices of local residents and ensuring that community priorities take precedence over political agendas.
