After local residence in Gillingham Green Area and St Mary’s Island made reports of regular vehicle speeding to Kent Police, the local officers carried out speed checks on the 13th Oct 2024. Following these checks, we have stopped and given words of advice to several drivers. Thankfully the officers did not have to issue any traffic offence reports to any driver on these occasions. We are hoping to carry out more random speed checks around these locations moving forward.
