“It’s Not Woke, It’s Just… Obsessive?”

Another council meeting, another Labour meltdown – and this time, Cllr Smitha Campbell can barely mention anything without dragging Reform UK into it! You’d think with all the “blood, sweat and tears” she claims have gone into the Local Plan, she might want to talk about, oh I don’t know, the Local Plan? But no – apparently we’re the only thing living rent free in her head.

🎥 Watch the clip below — viewer discretion advised: prolonged exposure to Labour speeches may cause eye-rolling and mild disbelief.

🗣️ What Cllr Campbell Actually Said:

“As an immigrant to this country, I know how isolated people can feel when they feel othered, ignored, and unwelcome…

…I have noticed an increase in hostility towards immigrants recently. It is driven in part by the rise in prominence of Reform (UK) whose answer to every malady seems to be to attack so-called illegals.

…I hear Reform (Rochester & Strood Branch) are organising a public meeting locally where they’re encouraging their followers to share their discontent. So where is their alternative proposal to this draft local plan? Where is their actual plan?

If our neighbouring counties fate is anything to go by, they have no plan. Only misinformation and misdirection like claims about money being spent on asylum seekers when it was in fact spent to provide activities for all looked after children. That’s what their vision is. Let’s not look after looked after children…”

🥱 Our Take: Waffle, Projection, and… Wait, What?

Let’s break it down, since Cllr Campbell clearly can’t help herself:

  • Apparently, our biggest crime is… holding a public meeting (and inviting people to say what’s wrong with Medway!) She even links us to some kind of anti-children plot – that’s a new one, even for Labour.
  • She claims we have “no plan,” when her own party’s “plan” is the same old reheated nonsense Medway has had for decades.
Let’s be clear: it’s not the job of two Reform UK councillors in opposition to write the council’s Local Plan. That responsibility falls squarely on the Cabinet and the ruling group at Medway Council.
Their job is to scrutinise, challenge, and hold you to account – something you seem to find deeply uncomfortable!
  • The “neighbouring county’s fate” she laments? Yes – Kent. Where Reform UK just scored an incredible landslide and ordinary people finally got real representation!
  • As for “let’s not look after looked after children”? Maybe stick to what was actually said – not whatever imaginary policies she’s made up this week.

And best of all – check out the actual link to our event she’s smearing:

Notice any “hostility,” “discontent,” or anti-anyone agenda? Or is it just community, food, and talking about real local issues – you decide, and if you disagree, we can have a friendly chat about it there!

🎯 Our Response:

“Here’s a tip for Labour:
If you want to bring Medway together, try listening to the real concerns of residents – not inventing conspiracies about your political opponents.
Reform UK’s public meetings are open to everyone, because everyone’s voice matters. And as for having ‘no plan,’ maybe that’s why so many voters are rejecting Labour’s reheated leftovers and voting for genuine local change!”

Once again, it’s clear – the only people “othering” anyone in Medway are the Labour councillors, obsessed with Reform UK.

Keep watching – because at this rate, we’re not just living rent free… we’re running the whole administration.
